The flat-headed monster and his bride. Plus a ponderous green guy and his new angrier image. Let the smashing begin.
Rick DeMott is the senior content associate for Barbie.com at Mattel, former director of content of Animation World Network and a freelance screenwriter. This blog is a culmination of years of movie reviews from his email newsletter. The hope is that fellow visual storytellers or just fans will find inspiration from the reviews, leading them to films they may have never heard of before or might want to give a second chance. The idea is that anyone can learn at least one thing from any film, even if that film teaches us what does not work. With any luck this blog will create constructive debate about visual storytelling in general or simply lead someone to a great film.
